Translated into Afrikaans by A.J.A. Roux. Produced in Afrikaans by the Heunis-Rood Geselskap in 1935, as a touring production and by Paul de Groot in the Eendragsaal in Johannesburg in the same year. (See Binge, 1969: 177)

Published in Dutch in South Africa by Dusseau, 1944 and Van Schaik, 1958. The play was a regular setwork for the Senior Certificate examinations in the 1940s and was one of the best known Dutch dramas in South Africa.
