Market Theatre Laboratory or Market Lab (Gauteng) which caters for historically disadvantaged youth by offering a two-year course in theatre skills. It has a high success-rate with 80% of graduates obtaining employment in the industry upon graduation ACT Arts Education Project Award 2005. The Market Theatre Laboratory was also responsible for The Market Lab Annual Community Theatre Festival. The project was intended to prepare and present the work of 50 community theatre groups and present a showcase of these in a semi-professional setting.
