CARTER, Gary. (19*-) Actor.

Biography

Born in Zimbabwe, grew up in Port Elizabeth.

Training

Studied drama at the University of Cape Town, 1983.


Career

He joined CAPAB Drama's permanent company in January 1984.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He appeared in The Taming of the Shrew, Betrayal (as The Waiter 1984), Falstaff, Re:Vamp for CAPAB and in London Assurance for NAPAC. He co-wrote and directed the musical Re:Vamp.

Awards, etc

Winner of the Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Most Promising Student in 1983.
