Nance O'Neill (1874 – 1965) was an Amercan actress of stage and film. (Also known as Nancy O'Neil)
She was brought out to South Africa by the Wheeler Brothers in 1901, most probably en route to or from Australia, where she had become well known.
In one month in South Africa she played the lead in Südermann's Magda, Dumas's Camille, Sardou's Tosca and Fedora, Queen Elizabeth, Sheridan's School for Scandal, Peg Woffington and The Jewess.
