Translated into Dutch as Het Geweten by Jan Willem Jacobus Steenbergen van Goor, published in Amsterdam by Wed. J. Doll, 1802.
Translated into English as Conscience by Benjamin Thompson (1776?-1816). Published in the series German theatre (Vol. 4), printed by J. Cundee, for Vernor and Hood, in 1800.
Performance history in South Africa
1818: Performed in Dutch by Tot Nut en Vermaak in their own Cape Town theatre as Het Geweeten on 5 May, 1818.
1823: Performed in Dutch by Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense in the African Theatre, Cape Town theatre as Het Geweten on 20 March, with De Keukenhelden.
