Styled "Ein romantisches Gemälde der Vorzeit" ("A romantic tableau of the past"), the play was published by Joachim in 1811.
Translations and adaptations
Translated into Dutch as De Bruidskroon, of De Droomverschijning , published by Abraham Mars, 1814 in Amsterdam.
Performance history in South Africa
1831: Performed in Dutch by Tot Nut en Vermaak on 23rd April, 1831 in Cape Town as De Bruidskroon, of De Droomverskyning, with De Eerste April (Westerman) as an afterpiece.
