Crimes of the Heart [1] (1978) is a play by Beth Henley. Set in the USA, it is a tragic comedy about three sisters, Meg, Babe, and Lenny, who reunite after Babe shoots her abusive husband.

Performance history in South Africa

Henry Mylne's Afrikaans translation, Hartsondes, was staged at the KKNK in 2004, directed by Mylne, with Anthea Thompson and others.
