The Cocktail Hour by American playwright and novelist A.R. Gurney. The Cocktail Hour is a comedy of manners. It premiered in June 1988 in San Diego, California at the Old Globe Theatre and, on October 20, 1988, in New York City at the Off Broadway Promenade Theatre.
Performance history in South Africa
Presented by Pieter Toerien at the Theatre on the Bay opening 5 September 1990 directed by Maralin Vanrenen starring Sean Taylor (John), John Hussey (Bradley), Anne Curteis (Ann) and Lynita Crofford (Nina). Lighting design by Jannie Swanepoel, set design by Kay Page, costumes co-ordinated by Colleen Moabelo.
