(“Don Gxubane among the Farmers/Boers”) - A satirical play by Charles J. Fourie (1994), based on Bartho Smit's Don Juan onder die Boere. Won the SACPAC Best New Play of the Year Award in 1994. Published in Vrygrond en ander Dramas by Tafelberg Publishers in 1994 and by New Contrast Publishers.
Performance history in South Africa
First performed by UCT in Hiddingh Hall in Cape Town and then taken to Kampustoneel 1994.
Staged by PACT in the Arena at the State Theatre with Ramolao Makhene and Louis van Niekerk in August 1994.
