There have two adaptations of the novel:
Mine Boy by William Branford
by William Branford. 1946. A one-act play which is a stage adaptation of Peter Abrahams's novel of the same name. Performed by the Durban Medical Students' Group from 20 to 23 April, 1955, it deals with a rural labourer who goes to work on the gold mines in Johannesburg. Undated typescript in the Thomas Pringle Collection, National English Literary Museum, Grahamstown.
