The popular comedy became a huge money-spinner for Pieter Toerien, while also netting a number of awards for the performers in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It was the opening performance of the Theatre on the Bay on Saturday 10 December 1988, starring Natalie Gamsu, Kate Normington, Gaby Lomberg, Maralin Vanrenen and Suanne Braun, directed by Tobie Cronjé.
