Completed a B.Dram Honours at the Drama Department at the [[University of Stellenbosch]] in 1999, nominated for a [[Fleur du Cap Theatre Award]] as “Most Promising Student” for that year. Her first professional work was in two cabarets directed by [[Blaise Koch]] (''[[3D on Broadway]]'' in 1999 and ''[[It’s a Koch-up]]'' in 2000). In 2000 she also appeared in woMANize (directed by Anton Luitingh) and played a lead role in Glass Roots by Fiona Coyne at the Baxter Theatre and at the Grahamstown Festival in 2000 and at the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees in 2001.
