Nag het die Wind Gebring (“Night brought the wind…”), by W.A. de Klerk. Published in Drie Dramas, Nasionale Pers, 1947.
A 3-act play set in the Cape Colony during the Anglo Boer War and dealing with conflicting loyalties and generational tensions within an Afrikaner family. Staged by Volksteater in 1945 with players from the Krugersdorpse Munisipale Vereniging vir Drama en Opera directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl, decor by Kobus Esterhuysen. The cast: P.P. Breytenbach as Just, Oenone van den Bergh, Annette Rossouw, G.P. Pretorius, J.H. du Plooy, Gert van den Bergh, Anna Neethling-Pohl.
First staged professionally by NTO 1948, also directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl, with Hendrik Hanekom as Just.
