(17**- 1821) Cape Town businessman of Dutch descent, one of the original 24 shareholders, to whom a section of the Boereplein was donated for the building of a theatre. This became the African Theatre. He had 5 shares in the theatre, which were were offered for sale from his estate on 17 February, 1821.
