The theatre was managed by PACOFS from 19**-19**. In early 70s amateur theatre also flourished at this venue, under the inspired leadership of Lucille Gillwald at this venue.

First official performance was Die Bedelaarstudent (An Afrikaans translation of Der Bettelstudent - "The Beggar Student" - by Carl Millöcker, 1882) on Thursday February 15 I968. [AW]
