The UCT Dramatic Society is a society founded at the University of Cape Town (UCT).
Contents
History
Originally founded in 1940s, it used the Little Theatre on the Hidding Campus for most of its productions. All students - not simply Drama students - were able to participate in the productions. One such member was Roy Sargeant, who went on to become a prolific theatre director and, as Head of English Drama at the SABC, TV producer.

1939: The Old Maid (with the University of Cape Town Speech and Drama Department), directed by Leontine Sagan.
1944: The House in Fern Road, Meet Mrs Beeton, The Twelve-Pound Look,
1949: Cockpit (directed by Leonard Schach)
1956: Spring 1600 (directed by Leonard Schach)
1963: Krapp's Last Tape (directed by Edwin Polakow)
1965: Aladdin (produced by Roy Sergeant and Keith Anderson)
1966: Volpone (directed by Roy Sargeant)
