Edgewood College of Education was a tertiary training institution located in Pinetown, Natal from 1970.
Contents
History
It was originally based in Durban as a segregated teacher training college for white women but began admitting men from 1970.
It was incorporated into University of Natal in 2001, which in turn was was incorporated with the University of Durban-Westville into the University of KwaZulu-Natal on 1 January 2004. The Edgewood campus in Pinetown is currently the University's primary site for teacher education and the home of the University School of Education.
