[[Honor Edmonds]] was an amateur actor who was trained at [[Elsie Fogarty's School of Dramatic Art]] in London. On her arrival in Port Elizabeth she taught at Collegiate School for Girls. Later she moved to Johannesburg and practised with [[Irene Holloway]]. She then moved to the Eastern Cape and worked at the [[Grahamstown Training College]] where she was a lecturer in speech training and dramatic art for three years. During her tenure there she produced many concert works. One of her major productions while at the College was ''[[Alcestis]]''. She also took the lead in [[Will Jamieson]]'s production of ''[[Hay Fever]]''. In 1946 she returned to Port Elizabeth.
