Ntsikelelo 'Boyzie' Cekwana (19**-). Internationally renowned choreographer.

Biography

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

In 1999 he choreographed Jerry Pooe’s Peace in the Valley, and in 2000 the same writer’s Living Room for the Friendship Festival in the US and Canada.

In 2002, Durban's Fantastic Flying Fish Dance Company presented his danced version of Can Themba's The Suit, while Cekwana himself performed the lead in Ja-Nee which featured on the programme of the final FNB Dance Indaba.

He choreographed the opera earthdiving (2003).

Awards, etc.

He has won a number of choreography awards.
