Hazel was Head of the Department of Ballet at the East London Technical College for several years.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Hazel was actively involved in theatre in East London, as producer/director and choreographer. Productions directed by Hazel include: Listen to the Wind (1960 and 1968), Hit the Deck, Peter Pan, The King and I, Carousel, No, No, Nanette, The Wizard of Oz, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music.
She was choreographer for Something's Afoot (1981), Winnie-the-Pooh (1984).
As performer, she appeared in Will Jamieson's presentation of King Oedipus in Port Elizabeth in 1952.
