King of Diamonds is a TV drama series directed by Paul Eilers in 1982 under the production company, Eilers Films.
Broadcast history in South Africa
King of Diamonds was proposed for production by Dirk de Villiers before being directed by Paul Eilers in 1982. The series was filmed in Kimberley and set in the diamond mines.
The production was revolutionary in the sense it drew cast members from the local community, which comprised of untrained actors.
