One of the "overseers" (producers) and director of music for the first production of ''[[Het Beleg en het Nemen van Troyen]]'' by [[C.E. Boniface]] in the [[African Theatre]], Cape Town, on 11 September and 9 October 1813. 
 
 
 
On 22 June 1815 he composed the music for [[C.E. Boniface|Boniface]]'s  ballet ''[[Sappho]]'', for production by [[Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense]], with dances choreographed by [[Mr Peterson]]. Repeated on 4 July and 29 July 1815.
