George Mountjoy was chair and president of the Arts Theatre Club in East London for many years.
As an actor, he appeared in many productions, including: Peter Pan (1972), Jack and the Beanstalk (1980), Something's Afoot (1981), White Horse Inn (1984), Listen to the Wind (1985), The Wizard of Oz (1986), Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood (1988), Cinderella - The True Story (1998).
As a director, productions include: Grease (1987), Max's Egg (1990), Why Strelitzias Cannot Fly (1991), Peter Pan (1993), Die Buite-Egtelike Ouma (1995).
He was also musical director for Winnie-the-Pooh (1984).
