The Young Performers Project is a Durban based arts initiative.
Initially also referred to as the Rainbow Young Performers Project, after its sponsor or as The Young Performers Project.
Established in 2001, it was supported by the Rainbow company and co-presented by the Performing Arts Network of South Africa (Pansa), it presents an annual major musical at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre in Durban.
The productions over the years have included Curtain Up, One Voice, Grease (2003), Oliver (2004), Fiddler on the Roof, The Wiz, Annie, School of Rock SA, Big River and Hairspray.
