Elize Lizamore (1953-2023) was an actress and military officer.

Biography

Born on 13 October, 1953, she obtained a B.A. hons (Drama) from Pretoria University, inter alia appearing in a student production of Die Huis van Bernarda Alba in 1973.

She passed away of a heart attack on 20 October 2023. Twice married, she had four children.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

She made a name for herself in the film 'n Beeld vir Jeannie (1976, produced by Elmo de Witt) and went on to do the TV series Net 'n Bietjie Liefde and other films, including Plekkie in die Son

Stage work included appearances in Piekniek te Velde (for Jan Engelen) and Die Wildeloot.
