The original text
A radio comedy about the renowned English journalist, editor and writer Isablla Beeton (1836-1865)[1], in which her husband Samuel was portrayed in an unflattering light. Originally broadcast on 4 January 1934 on the BBC National Programme, with Joyce Carey as "Isabella" and George Sanders as "Samuel".
The piece was apparently also adapted as a one-act stage play by the author and first published by H F W Deane and Sons in 1934.
