A Hatful of Rain by Michael V. Gazzo. A hard-hitting American drama set in the Lower East side of New York, first performed on Broadway and in London in 1955-1956. First produced in South Africa at the Library Theatre in 1957 by The Company of Three and directed by Stuart Brown, with Ivan Berold, Marjorie Gordon and Jenny Gratus.
