The original text
Inspired by H.G. Wells' novel The Island of Dr. Moreau, the play is described as "a wild comedy spoof by Tim Kelly, based on the H. G. Wells' classic". It was published by Baker's Plays, 1977.
Translations and adaptations
Translated into Afrikaans as Die Geklike Deurmekaarspul Eiland van Dr. Moron by Kobus Strydom and published by the Dramatic, Artistic and Literary Rights Organisation (DALRO) in 1996
