Die Spinner ("The spinner") is a one-man play by C.P. Leach.

First performed at the State Theatre Arena on 4 July 1983.

Published in Rostrum: verhoogtekste by Tafelberg (1985).

Translations and adaptations

Performance history in South Africa

1983: Performed at the Arena Theatre, Pretoria on 4 July 1983, directed and designed by Christo Leach with Gys de Villiers.

1985: Presented by KRUIK at the Nico Malan Theatre, along with Hennie Baird's En Dit Was Môre, as part of a programme billed as Dubbelspel, opening on 17 August. Directed and designed by Christo Leach with Gys de Villiers, lighting by Pieter de Swardt. De Villiers received an award as Best Actor for this performance.

1989: Produced by the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department as part of the Lanzerac Stellenbosch Festival. The directed by Denise Bester with André van der Merwe.
