written in 1987, the original off-Broadway production featured Durang and E. Katherine Kerr
Translations and adaptations
Performance history in South Africa
1990: Directed by Fiona Ramsay in The Laager at the Market Theatre starring Vanessa Cooke and Robert Whitehead, in October.
2004: Presented by KickstArt in February at the Kwasuka Theatre directed by Steven Stead and starring Lisa Bobbert and Darren King. The same production was revived in September 2014.
