Hamerman is a play by Tone Brulin (1926-2019)
The original text
Written by Tone Brulin as a play of dance, song and acting, it is based on the book My Traitor’s Heart about by South African journalist Rian Malan's[] his experiences growing up in the apartheid era.
Performed at various theatre in Belgium between 21 February 1997 and 11 April 1998 by Nieuwe Realisaties Theater, directed by Brulin with performers Ivan Pecnik and Bodé Owa.
A typed copy of the text is held in the archive of the University of Stellenbosch
