She made her debut as a playwright with the production of her first play, Kinderspeletjies, at the Kampustoneel Festival in Pretoria in 19**.
Other work includes Dankie, Meneer Jordaan, which was one of the winning plays in a playwriting competition held by the Hoërskool Citrusdal in 1989.
