She was an Edwardian actress active circa 1900.[1]
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
D.C. Boonzaier (1923) mentions an actress called Maud Ashton who appeared as "Sally" in Miss Hook of Holland (Rubens and Hurgon) when it was produced for the first time in South Africa by the Wheeler Brothers in 1909. Most probably the same person and a misspelling of the name of Maud Aston, as no actress by the name Maud Ashton can be traced for that period.
