Shona Ferguson was a creative director, producer, writer and actor.

Biography

Born Aaron Arthur Ferguson in Gaborone, Botswana,

He was married to actress and producer Connie Ferguson and the couple have two daughters, one from Connie’s previous marriage.

Ferguson died on 30 July 20921 due to COVID-19 related complications.

He became affectionately known as “Uncle Sho” in the media industry, . He and Connie founded Ferguson Films. His company made drama series and telenovelas for Mzansi Magic, which included The Queen, Rockville, The Wild, iGazi and The Imposter, and the Netflix series Kings of Joburg. He himself acted in a number of productions including The Queen and The Kings of Joburg..

In June 2021, shorlty before his death, Ferguson Films announced the launch of its acting academy.
