Born on December 12, 1935 in South Africa as Yolande Eileen Turnbull. She left for London in 1955 where - as Yolande Turner – she made a name for herself as a film and TV actress and scriptwriter. She also met and married film star Peter Finch in 1956 (divorced 1965) she published a book chronicling their marriage. She died on November 6, 2003 in London, England.

She had a small part in Charley's Aunt at His Majesty's Theatre in 1951 and The Spider's Web (Johannesburg REPS, 1955). This was her last performance in South Africa == Sources ==
