The Secretary Bird is a 1967 play by British dramatist William Douglas-Home (1912-1992) [1].

1969: Opening on 26 March at the Intimate Theatre, Johannesburg, produced by Pieter Toerien and Basil Rubin with Shirley Firth in association with John Gale directed by Kerry Jordan, starring Jeremy Hawk, Shelagh Holliday, Ivan Berold and Firth.
1969: In December the Pieter Toerien, Basil Rubin, Shirley Firth in association with John Gale production, directed by Kerry Jordan, was staged with a new cast; Jeremy Hawk (Hugh Walford), Diane Bester (Liz Walford), Margaret Fry (Mrs Gray), Elaine Lee (Molly Forsythe) and Robert Dean (John Brownlow). Decor by Graham Brown. Produced by Toerien, Rubin and Firth Play Presentations.
1978: Produced by the Grahamstown Amateur Dramatic Society, directed by Barbara McGahey.
