She studied at the UCT Drama Department in the late 1990s.

As a student she played Clytaemnestra in a production of In the City of Paradise.
She had a role in For Coloured Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf.

In 2002 she won a Fleur du Cap Award for Best Performance in a Musical or Revue, shared with the cast, for her role in For Coloured Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf.
