Frederick Brian Philander (Freddie Philander) (1949- ). Namibian playwright, novelist, short story and film scriptwriter.

Biography

Born in Beaufort West, South Africa. After having worked as a journalist in Cape Town, he moved to Namibia in 1979.

Playwright of Koning van die Ashoop. Play performed at the Kellerprinz-Drama Festival in 1986 by the Windhoek Players. Joint winner.

Among the plays he wrote are The Porridge Queen and The Teacher.
