Roy Henry Pheiffer (1932- 2006). Afrikaans academic, poet and critic.
Biography
He was born in Victoria West and died after a long illness in Cape Town in 2006. He was head of the Department of Afrikaans & Nederlands at UCT between 1979 and 1992, vice-dean from 1982 to 1984, and dean from 1984 to 1987.
