The Rhodes University Theatre Complex is a set of venues built for use by the Rhodes Drama Department.
Not to be confused with the earlier venue used by the department, which was usually referred to as the Rhodes Theatre
Athol Fugard’s The Blood Knot opened in the Rhodes Theatre in 1961. It starred Athol himself and Zakes Mokae. ****

The Rhodes University Theatre
This is a formal proscenium arch theatre venue with orchestra pit, a computerised lighting board, good sound and flying facilities, four dressing rooms, and seats 369.

The Rhodes Box
The Rhodes Box is a smaller and extremely adaptable experimental performance space able to seat 120. It has a 42 channel lighting board and a four way sound system.
