The Young Scamp is a sketch in one scene by Charles White ()[].
This is not to be confused with The Young Scamp, or My Grandmother's Pet by Edward Stirling.
The original text
A version of the text was published by published by William Barth, in A Selection of New and Popular Dramas and Farces, 1844, and apparently also published by T.H. Lacy before 1849.
1868: Performed by the Young Men’s Institute Amateur Christy’s in the Cape Town.

It is apparently a Christy's style piece, described as an Ethiopian sketch or Negro farce in various sources. Published as no 85 in De Witt's Ethiopian and Comic Drama.
