He was the chief technician and resident lighting designer for the H.B. Thom Theatre, Stellenbosch (1995-2001).
He has toured extensively with celebrated South African opera and theatre productions and presented work in some of the world's most renowned theatres including Teatre Del Liceu, London Coliseum and Teatro Cólon.
He is a respected senior lecturer who wrote the technical syllabus for the University of Stellenbosch and established the Technical Training Academy for Artscape Theatre Centre in 2004.
