Biography

Contribution tolm South African theatre

In 1899 he and Herbert Flemming brought the Arthur Rousbey Opera Company to South Africa to perform a se4ason of operas in Cape Town's Opera House.

De Jongh gave way to Leonard Rayne as lessee of the opera house in 1906(?).
