Woutrine Theron (194*-). Actress, director, lecturer, novelist.

Biography =

Youth

She grew up in the Laingsburg district.

Training

She studied at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in the mid-1960s and at the ADK.

Career

She was the Tshwane University of Technology's head of drama, where she used to present competitions from 1989 to 1998.

Member of the Kunstekabinet for the KKNK and judge for the Nagtegaalprys for drama (2005).

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Woutrine as appeared on stage in Die Lewe wat ek jou Gegee het (UTS]]) 1964), Drie Dae Meester (UTS 1965), Faust (1966), Exit the King (UTS 1966), Yerma (UTS]] 1966), Voëlvry (1967), The West Indian (1967), Tartuffe (KRUIK 1968), Moenie Praat Nie (KRUIK 1968), Kom Spook By My (KRUIK 1968), Cyrano de Bergerac (KRUIK 1969), 'n Seder Val in Waterkloof (PACT 1975), Die Vrek (PACT 1976), Die Potlooddief en die Engel (PACT 1985).

She had a role in a radion broadcast of Die Beskermengel.
