C.G. Henning (19**-19**) is a music and cultural researcher, archivist and museum director.

Biography
He was the head of the Centre for South African Music Research at the Human Sciences Research Council, and in 1979 became the founding head of the first archive and museum in South Africa on the subject of the Indian South African at the University of Durban Westville. It later became the Gandhi Luthuli Documentation Centre on the Westville Campus of the University of Kwazulu-Natal.
Author of Graaff-Reinet - A Cultural History 1786-1886 (Cape Town: T.V. Bulpin, 1975) and The Indentured Indian in Natal (1860-1917) (Promilla & Co, 1993)
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
