The Department of Education and Culture fell under the Ministry of Coloured Affairs and later the House of Representatives


The department responsible for the “coloured” population under the Tricameral Parliament system between 198* and 198*. Also responsible for the advancement of culture.


Later became the Council for Culture, Sport and Recreation under the Department of Education and Culture.
