Don't Utter a Note is a teleplay[1] with 3 acts by Anton Delmar[2].
The original text
Originally written as a teleplay for Associated British Corporation (ABC), it was first broadcast April 9 1966 by ITV in Armchair Theatre (1956–1974)[3] (Season 6: Episode 11) as Don't Utter a Note, with Sidney James (credited as Sid James) as "Basher Bates".
The text was published by Evans Brothers Ltd, London, in December 1967.
South African Productions
1979: Produced as a stage play in September at the Masque Theatre by The Bergvliet Dramatic Society. Directed by Dorothy Sawdon, with Lieske Bester ("Florence Pringle"), Embla Human ("Nellie Pringle"), Tony Bent ("Vicar"), Ron Fenton ("Basher Bates"), Greg Hughes ("Nick"), Lisette Bester ("Sally"), Norman Sargeant ("Police Srgt. Howlett") and Rory Gilmore ("Arnold Barraclough").
