Adam in Ballingschap (full title: Adam in Ballingschap, of Aller treurspeelen treurspel ("Adam in Exile, or most tragical tragedy"), is Dutch play by Joost van den Vondel (1587–1679)[1]


The original text

Published by the widow of Abraham de Wees in Amsterdam in 1664.

The play has long been a prescribed work for students of Dutch literature in South Africa.
