The original text
Written in 1668, first performed late in 1668 at the Hôtel de Bourgogne in Paris and published in 1669. It is the only comedy Racine wrote.

1809: Produced in French by C.E. Boniface with the French Theatrical Company on 22 February in the African Theatre, with Le Derviche (De Saint-Foix).
