Biography
He was married to the actress Aletta Bezuidenhout.
Youth
Training
Tertius obtained a National Diploma in Drama from Pretoria Technikon Drama School.
Career
Apart from his acting career he worked as assistant director and director in advertising in Cape Town. He also ran a music club in Kalk Bay.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Performed in the Afrikaans production of Equus (as “Alan Strang”), late 1970s. Other stage productions include Sing jy van Bomme (PACT 1988), Paulus (KKNK 2007).
He wrote the stage play Dis Seker die Honde and the television screenplay The Pink Leather Chair.
On television he played one of the lead roles in Plek van die Vleisvreters.
Awards, etc
His text of The Pink Leather Chair for M-Net’s New Directions was chosen as the best new script, 1995.
